Penetration Tester - Confused.com

We are looking for a Penetration Tester who is interested in joining a highly successful and dynamic organization.

Specific duties include vulnerability assessment/management and penetration testing with a focus on web applications. The role will involve engagement with internal project leads and third-party partners, assisting with remediation advice and ensuring vulnerabilities are addressed in a timely manner. You will be working closely with our Lead Penetration Tester.

Additional expected activities include developing and testing new tools and applications, technical documentation, and assisting with strategic product planning. Other opportunities may also become available to assist with network penetration testing, red team operations and social engineering.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for security and penetration testing, with a willingness to dedicate time to furthering their knowledge in this area. Knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language is a must. This is a great opportunity for a penetration tester who is looking to take their skills to the next level.

The Requirements

•  Practical experience working within a penetration tester role.
• CREST CRT, OSCP or OSWE desired.
• Clear and demonstrable understanding of web application penetration testing, including familiarity with the ‘OWASP Top 10’ and more advanced techniques.
• Experience of secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with penetration testing and vulnerability assessment tools such as Burp Suite, ZAP, Nessus, Metasploit and the ability to develop and deploy custom scripts and shellcode.
• Knowledge of tools used for wireless, web application, and network security testing.
• A good understanding of network protocols.
• An understanding of Linux/Windows operating systems, including bash and Powershell.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Whilst certain qualifications are sought, consideration will always be given to candidates with relevant experience within the field.
