Our Graduate Programmes

Facts and Figures

The Admiral Graduate Programme has been running since 2006, so we have plenty of experience in training and developing grads into successful and long term employees. 70% of our grads (2006-2018) still work for us which is quite an impressive retention rate!

Admiral runs two main graduate programmes: Core (open to any degree discipline) and Analyst (open to STEM subjects). We also have many direct entry roles for graduates in a STEM discipline, who prefer to go straight into a data-oriented role, rather than do rotations.

Watch our quick video for an overview of the two programmes below (please note that applications for 2020 will open in October):

Applications for our 2020 core and analyst (STEM) graduate programmes have now closed.

Our core programme is open to students of any academic discipline, though we like to see a strong research based degree, such as Business, History, English, Geography, Politics, Psychology etc. The core scheme is 24 months in length and encompasses four 6-month placements across a wide variety of business areas and functions to help you develop yourself and your skills, as well as to gain a good grounding in everything we do. This programme is perfect for those of you, who aren't really sure what kind of career you want to go into.

For the analyst programme we are looking for students of STEM subjects, in particular Mathematics, Physics, Economics and Engineering. You will need to have strong data analysis and mathematical skills, as well as be a logical thinker. Our analyst scheme is 24 months in length and your placements will be slightly longer. You will do three 8-month placements in analytical areas of the business, such as Management Information (MI), Pricing, Analytics, Claims, or Operations. This programme is perfect for those of you, who know you want to apply your maths skills, but aren't yet sure in what sort of role this might be.

Our core and analyst graduates spend the first few weeks together completing training and teambuilding exercises  as well as getting up to speed on our businesses and products. You will also receive additional training through the Admiral Academy to make sure you are well prepared for your first placement.

Your placements will take you around the business to ensure you finish your chosen programme with a good grounding in various aspects of our company ready to take your first steps off the programme and into a long term career within Admiral. Whichever programme you choose, it will be full of opportunities and experiences to develop yourself and build your career, so make the most of these and remember to enjoy the ride!
